About the Community

Palm Village Ranch palm tree.

This home is in Palm Village Ranch in Okeechobee, Florida, on the north side of beautiful Lake Okeechobee, in Okeechobee County. Lake Okeechobee is known nation wide for its great bass fishing. Palm Village Ranch is only a couple miles from Lake Okeechobee and Kissimmee River boat ramps and avid fishermen here in the community go fishing every day. The community is close to bait and tackle stores, grocery shopping, restaurants and gas stations. We are a state-designated 55+ community where at least one member of the household must be age 55 or older.

The Clubhouse at Palm Village Ranch is a hub of activity year round. The active Home Owners Association (HOA) meets once a month to discuss community needs. The whole community maintains its high quality because of standards adopted by the membership. For that reason, homes retain their value in Palm Village Ranch. At Palm Village Ranch the homeowner gets a lot for the low HOA fees charged. Paid twice yearly, the fees cover all lawn maintenance, both common areas and private yards, a large, outdoor heated pool, shuffleboard court, attractive clubhouse with kitchen, pool tables, tables and chairs for gatherings, cards and games. A monthly potluck dinner provides a way for new homeowners to get to know their neighbors. There is a community pond with fish, and a fish cleaning station adjacent to the clubhouse.

The Homeowners Association maintains a web site which provides more information about the community, including amenities available for members and their guests to enjoy. You can find a Calendar of Events, agenda for the next board meeting and photos of recent events. Board meeting minutes are posted every month. An aerial view of the community is available on the home page. Go to for more information.
